Privacy Policy

How we handle personal information on cloneto.com and in the Cloneto service.

1. Who we are

Cloneto is a data movement engine for one-time migrations and ongoing sync between business systems. Cloneto and cloneto.com are operated by Yin Yang Inc., the company behind ClonePartner (“we”, “us”). [Confirm: Yin Yang Inc. is the entity that offers Cloneto]

We are the controller for the personal information in sections 2 to 4. For data that Cloneto moves for a customer, the customer is the controller. See section 5.

2. What we collect on cloneto.com

Walkthrough requests

When you book a walkthrough, we collect your name, work email, company, role, what you are moving and where, your deployment requirement, how many migrations you run a year, and any notes you add.

Form submissions are handled by [Form and scheduling provider].

Sign-in

The sign-in page asks for your work email and password, or sends you to your organization's identity provider for single sign-on. We use these details only to sign you in to the Cloneto control plane. [Confirm where cloneto.com sign-in is processed]

Email and calls

If you email us or join a call, we keep what you send us and our notes from the call.

Request data

Like any website, the servers that deliver cloneto.com receive your IP address, browser type and the page you ask for. [Hosting provider for cloneto.com]

3. Cookies and third-party resources

cloneto.com sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking tags. We will update this policy before that changes.

Pages load fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com) and page scripts from unpkg.com. Your browser connects to these services directly, so they receive your IP address and browser details. Their own privacy policies apply.

If you choose “Keep me signed in” when you sign in, the control plane may store a cookie on your device to keep your session. [Confirm sign-in cookie]

4. How we use it

To arrange and run walkthroughs, and to reply to you.
To sign you in and run your account.
To provide support.
To keep the site and the service secure.
To meet legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not use it for automated decisions that have legal or similar effects on you.

5. Data inside Cloneto deployments

Cloneto runs in one of three places, set in each order:

Your or your client's Azure subscription, or on-premises. Records are read, transformed and written inside that environment. In Azure, connector credentials stay in the client's Key Vault. The only outbound call is a license check, which carries no client records. [Confirm: no other outbound calls, including AI features] We do not receive the data Cloneto moves.
Hosted in-region. We run Cloneto for you in the region agreed in your order, and process the data it moves only on your instructions.

In every case, the customer decides what Cloneto moves and why. Our Data Processing Agreement covers any personal data we process for a customer. If your data sits in a system that a Cloneto customer migrates or syncs, contact that customer to exercise your rights.

Subprocessors that help us run our business and the service, listed on our Subprocessors page.
A buyer or successor, if our business is merged, acquired or sold. They must honor this policy.
Authorities or others, when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our users or others.

7. How long we keep it

Walkthrough requests and business contacts: up to 24 months after our last contact with you.
Account data: for the subscription, then deleted within 90 days unless the law requires longer.
Server logs: [Log retention period].
Customer data in hosted in-region deployments: as set out in the Data Processing Agreement.

8. Security

Cloneto is built and operated by the ClonePartner team under its security program. ClonePartner holds a SOC 2 Type II report and ISO 27001 certification. [Confirm Cloneto is in audit scope] See Trust for details. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent. Email legal@clonepartner.com. We may ask you to verify your identity. You can also complain to your data protection authority.

10. EU and UK residents

We rely on these legal bases: performing a contract or taking steps toward one (walkthroughs, accounts, support), legitimate interests (replying to business enquiries, securing the site and service), and legal obligation (tax and accounting records).

We are based in the United States and have a team in India. When personal information leaves the EU or UK, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum.

11. California residents

We do not sell or share personal information as the CCPA defines those terms. We collect identifiers (name, email), professional information (company, role) and the request data described in section 2. You have the rights in section 9, and we will not discriminate against you for using them.

12. Children

Cloneto is for businesses. It is not directed at anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

13. Changes to this policy

We will post changes here and update the date at the top. For material changes, we will also tell customers by email.
